I just returned from a week long relief mission to Haiti, although it wasnt in a critical care capacity. I was part of a group that was operating field clinics in various neighborhoods. I would love to go back but I dont think my schedule will allow it any time soon. Good luck to those who are planning on going in upcoming months. The Haitian people are very appreciative of our efforts.

After 10 totally exhausting and fulfilling days, I am back in Atlanta getting ready for a course in Tanzania Africa. The Haitian needs will continue to blossom and the need is great for nursing, physician, pharmacy and Physical therapists. I hope to go back for a few days before I leave on the 21 of February, but many of us who are ready to go should be prepared. PIH and Project Hope are mobilizing now. Please feel free to call or eamil regarding any advice or direction!

There are probably many more SCCM members in Haiti right now, add Phil Dellinger and the Cooper,NJ critical care team who are in Jimani,DR which is receiving many Haitian refugees.
Our thanks goes out to all of them.
